Experience (past five years):

May 2015-current: Rock Island Arsenal Child, Youth Services                                                     Child, Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) has provided many opportunities for professional growth. Initially, I was hired to work a summer camp for children of the families employed by the Department of Defense and Active Duty Military stationed on the Rock Island Arsenal. I was asked to stay on during the school year and had the opportunity to work at the Child Development Center and in the Before and After School Program at the School Age Center. In the School Age Center, I was able to obtain the responsibility of running the Start Smart Sports Development Program for children ages 2-5. This has given me the opportunity to successfully organize, plan and market for four weekend programs (as of April 2017). Each program has increased in attendance and continually brought more families into the School Age Center.

April 2014-March 2015: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Customer Service Specialist

At Dick’s Sporting Goods, I was initially hired as a cashier but was promoted to a Customer Service Specialist after three months of employment. As a Customer Service Specialist, responsibilities included managing between one-seven other cashiers, ensuring employees were properly completing transactions, and approving particular transactions not all cashiers had the power to do. I was also responsible for minimizing theft, properly closing the front end of the store and providing a friendly greeting to customer upon entrance of the store.

December 2013-May 2015: St. Ambrose Children’s Campus, Student Employee

In this position I was given the opportunity to work with children ages 6 weeks-5 years. I was responsible for providing care and providing a strong learning environment for the children. I was responsible for maintain friendly relationship with the parents and the children.

August 2013-December 2013: Schindler Education Building, Student Employee

In this position, I was responsible for data entry of student-teacher’s reports. I was responsible for greeting those who entered our office and taking them where needed.
